Darton College is a part of the University System of Georgia, offering two-year transfer and career degree programs and one-year certificates. Darton is Southwest Georgia's Center for Nursing and Allied Health and is the leading producer of health care professionals in the region, offering 13 degrees and eight one-year certificates.

Darton College offers courses at its main campus in Albany, Georgia, as well as at five satellite centers including one located at the Cordele/Crisp Higher Education Center. Students can earn an associate's degree by attending all their courses in Cordele or combining them with online courses and courses offered on the main campus. Courses are flexible - they are offered both day and evening. Darton provides the ACCEL Program for select high school students to take college courses at no cost. The students enroll at Darton College and use those courses for both high school Carnegie units and post secondary credit.

Currently, Darton College offers online degrees in business administration, social work, criminal justice, psychology, pre-law, history, sociology, economics, general studies, political science, teacher education, and medical lab technology.
